After KC and I came back from cruising around the Caribbean with our family and taking a side trip to Cancun, we started driving north along Florida’s eastern coast. Over four days, we drove from Ft Lauderdale, Florida, to Savannah, Georgia, taking the scenic route along Florida’s Highway A1A, along the coast line (for Californian’s reference, this is like driving along Highway 1 in California). Along the way, we looked for manatees, checked out the Cape Canaveral National Seashore, spent a day at the Kennedy Space Center (which was awesome to this enginerd), explored the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument in St Augustine, and were awed by Georgia’s mossy trees and Savannah’s Forsyth Park.
